Dear Friends:

In 2009, my research colleagues and I began a project that would not have been possible without 100 Voices of Hope. It is my pleasure to announce that this project already has gained national attention -- Dr. Hari Nakshatri has been awarded $400,000 from the National Cancer Institute. This will allow him to continue the research you funded demonstrating that the biomarker U6 could be useful in diagnosing early stage recurrence of breast cancer.

Together and individually you have made you voice heard with amazing results. The researchers have connected to you and you have connected to their research. To date, 100 Voices of Hope has funded three incredible research projects, with a fourth to be underway very soon.

On behalf of the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center, we are honored and deeply grateful that you have raised and astounding $375,000 over the past three years for our breast cancer research program.

Thank you.
